Privacy Policy
1. Who we are & scope
EMERGE ("EMERGE", "we", "us", "our") is an early-stage technology platform operated by its founder in India. EMERGE is currently pre-incorporation; these terms will be assigned to the registered entity upon incorporation, and this page will be updated accordingly.
This policy covers all EMERGE products at emerge.doctor. By using the Platform you consent to this policy.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password (hashed by our auth provider) or Google sign-in identity, mobile number and country code (when provided).
- Profile & CV data: qualifications, specialty, institution, experience, publications, registration details, and anything you add to your EMERGE CV.
- Employer data: institution name, type, location, contact person, job postings.
- Content: reviews, ratings, salary submissions, posts, messages, applications.
- Usage data: log data, device/browser type, pages viewed; minimal analytics.
- Consent records: what you agreed to, the document version, and a timestamp.
3. How we use data
- To operate the Platform: accounts, applications, messaging, CVs, dashboards.
- To personalise: job matching by specialty, relevant fellowships and content.
- To send communications you opted into (job alerts, fellowship updates, salary insights, product news, educational content). You can withdraw consent anytime.
- For safety: verification, fraud prevention, enforcing our Terms.
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics (e.g. salary benchmarks like DMFPI) that do not identify you.
4. What employers can see
Employers see your application, profile summary and EMERGE CV only when you apply to their job, or when you have switched on “Open to opportunities”. Your contact details are never sold and salary submissions are only ever shown in anonymous, aggregated form.
5. Anonymous submissions
Hospital/department ratings and salary submissions are designed to be displayed without your identity. We store the link between submission and account for fraud prevention but do not display it publicly.
6. Sharing
- Service providers that run our infrastructure (hosting, database/auth, email delivery) under their own security commitments.
- Employers/doctors as described in section 4 and as inherent to applications and messaging.
- Legal compliance: where required by Indian law or valid legal process.
- We do not sell personal data.
7. Storage, security & retention
Data is stored with reputable cloud providers; access is restricted by row-level security so users can only access their own data and what the product intentionally shares. We retain data per the Data Retention Policy and delete it per the Account Deletion Policy.
8. Your rights
- Access and update your data from your profile and CV pages.
- Request a copy (export) of your data: email us from your registered address.
- Delete your account and data: see the Account Deletion Policy.
- Withdraw marketing consents at any time.
- Complain: see the Grievance Redressal Policy.
9. Cookies
See the Cookie Policy. We use essential cookies/local storage for login sessions and minimal preferences.
10. Children
The Platform is for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes & contact
Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Contact: our contact & grievance form.
